such a light weight

I had a semi-serious doctor’s appointment yesterday, so I took the day off from work - I knew I wasn’t going to feel like going in to the office afterwards. And it’s a good thing that I know myself so well, because post-appointment, I was totally high… off of four Motrins and .5 mg Xanax.Â
I don’t normally take OTC drugs. I’m lucky enough to not get sick that often, and usually just grab one Advil if I have a headache. So those four Motrins knocked me on my @ss. And once the doctor added the Xanax to help me calm down, I floated off into my own little world. My legs didn’t want to function, I kept getting distracted and trying to wander away, and I had a head full of cotton candy. It was totally disturbing.
I guess I don’t have it in me to be a pill popper. I’ll have to find something else to get me through my days. Perhaps some more Diet Dr. Pepper….
