I Heart Kelly Clarkson
I don’t watch American Idol, but I love Kelly Clarkson. A lot. So I am so happy that a co-worker just told me about her song last night…
This is also the first time I’m attempting to embed a video, so let’s see how it works…
Game 2 Letters
Dear Phoenix Suns Fans Who Just Cheered When Kobe Went Down,
Cheering when you think another player is injured is about as low class as you can get. I hate you.
Up yours,
Anna

Dear Lakers,
Stop sucking and start playing like professionals. Please. You’re freakin’ killing me here.
Love Always,
Anna
Terrified
If I could put on my feminist hat for a minute…
I’m completely terrified of the road that our government has chosen to go down in banning partial-birth abortions with no exceptions for a woman’s health.
“Partial-birth abortions” – a term invented by Bush’s conservatives – aren’t a pretty thing. And it doesn’t seem like anyone chooses to use this method as a form of birth control – it’s such a horrific procedure that it’s pretty much only used in cases of fetal distress or the health of the mother. So why is this even an issue? Why is a conservative government trying to increase the control of the federal government – aren’t they supposed to be for smaller government?
Clearly, this is just the first step towards repealing a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body.
I’m scared.
Dog-Sitting Makes Me Happy
As I mentioned last week, I’ve been dog-sitting for a friend of mine. She dropped off her sweet beagle last Tuesday… and she’s coming back to get him tomorrow.
Ernee is possibly the sweetest, smartest dog ever. Sorry Nicole – you know I love Bailey with all my heart! – but Ernee is amazing. He’s 10 – old for a beagle – but is still energetic and happy. He doesn’t howl or whine, which is rare for these dogs and makes him a great fit in my apartment. Plus he does the best tricks. Witness his high-five:
Actually, I don’t think I’ll give him back. I think I’ll keep him.
Screw Bad Luck
Happy Friday the 13th!
As somebody that was born on a Friday the 13th, I think these days are actually pretty lucky. Hello! I was born, which was pretty freakin’ lucky for the world. No, I kid, I kid.
But here’s what I have to say about today:
- Walk under a ladder.
- Don’t knock on wood.
- Let a black cat cross your path
Take all those “bad luck” tales and kick their @sses! Except for breaking a mirror. Screw the 7 years of bad luck – glass is a b*tch to clean up!
Ups and Downs
Things bringing me down right now:
- Exhaustion from working ridiculously long hours in order to meet ridiculously short deadlines at work.
- Thoughts about doing my taxes before this weekend – yeah, that’s right, I stupidly haven’t started them yet.
- Disbelief that they kicked Whitney off of America’s Next Top Model last night instead of Jael.
Things bringing me back up right now:
- Dog-sitting for the cutest freakin’ beagle of all time. (Don’t worry, there will be pictures later!)
- Pants made for roundhouse-kicking people in the head.
All in all, I’d say things are pretty even.
Easily Entertained
It doesn’t take much to make me happy… just give me some random toys at a house party and I’ll entertain myself and guests for hours! Or at least 15 minutes.
Friday night’s entertainment: Cowboy Lovin’!
What can I say? I have the sense of humor of a 12-year-old boy. And I like it that way.
The Funniest Thing I’ve Seen Today
I think my favorite part is that the Post Office wants me to choose my alliance. Am I a part of the Rebel Alliance? Or the Galactic Empire? Maybe if I’d paid more attention to the Star Wars movies I would know.
Ladies Love Football…
The Packers hired a woman to be a VP! Only took 89 years… but better late than never!
Now, all they need to do is hire me to be GM, and their team will be better than ever!
* Heehee, my lines rhyme. I rock! *
