New Show?
I may have a new TV night, which kind of scares me – I’ve loved only having one show that I need to watch on a regular basis (that being The OC, of course). But Tuesday night TV… well, it’s just too entertaining to miss from now on. At 8pm, UPN re-runs the previous week’s America’s Next Top Model. I missed the first episode, but last night’s showed me that this season has a bunch of hot girls… and some even know how to pose! At 9pm, I switched over to ABC for Commander-in-Chief (very cool website, by the way). Now, I haven’t watched an ABC show since the days of TGIF, so this is kinda bizarre. But I am LOVING this show. Everyone is fabulous (although the oldest daughter needs to do something with her scary eyebrows). Then comes 10pm, and the hysterical Boston Legal. I may now have a crush on William Shatner – he’s HILARIOUS.
And I’m now an official movie critic. Check out my second review… although I’m giving fair warning to Alexis that I do dis JLo. Ha!
Lord, I Was Born a Rambling Man…
Or woman, whatever.
My brain is all over the place today. This may be due to the fact that I stayed up til 1 last night, watching the freakin’ Packers lose AGAIN. I’m not even going to get into that, but I will say that Madden is possibly the hugest idiot I’ve ever had to listen to. The only good thing about Monday Night Football moving to ESPN next year is that Madden won’t be commentating anymore (at least, I’m praying he won’t be!). Blah blah blah, football legend. He’s a moron.
Speaking of morons, what the h*ll is Bush doing now? I don’t know anything about Meiers, but… um… shouldn’t a Supreme Court Justice have some experience as a judge? This is like if the president of Bloomingdale’s asked me to be Chief Marketing Officer. I mean I am in the marketing field, and I’ve been to their store before….
Ugh, and I’m completely broke, so I can’t go shopping for all of the wonderful things that I NEED for fall and winter.
Oh, and to get back to MNF on ESPN; I’ve decided that ESPN should just be a basic cable station. I mean, its programming isn’t offensive, it’s aimed at a broad audience, and they have just as many commercials per program as basic cable. I think ESPN should be a basic cable station and the rest of the ESPNs (2 through “the ocho”) should remain cable. Now, who do I petition to take care of this?
I am so strung out today. Peace.
When I Grow Up…
After watching college football all day Saturday, and pro football all day yesterday, I’ve found my life’s ambition.
I want to be one of the sports reporters. Specifically, I want Jillian Barberie’s job. She gets to hang out with Terry, Jimmy and Howie (who I LOVE), and run things like the NFL’s Sexiest Man competition. I think I know more about sports as she does, and I would totally start working out if it would help my career.
So, here’s my plan of attack:
1. Start writing about sports. I don’t think it matters where – online, in print, for a sports show… whatever. Ooh, maybe I can have an article like The Sports Guy… but The Sports Chick.
2. Start working out.
3. Take part in a Maxim, FHM, or Stuff article/photo-shoot about chicks that are into sports (I envision me, some athletes, and an actress (and sports fan).
4. Sit back and wait for the offers to start rolling in.
It would totally work, right?
