Music and Food

Yesterday’s show was pretty awesome - it was great to be outside on one of the few legitimately gorgeous days in Boston, enjoying some impressive singer/songwriters.

Tracy Bonham was amazing - I hadn’t really ever listened to her before, but she definitely wowed me. I’ll be getting some of her music now. Aimee Mann was also great - she played a mix of songs from her new album The Forgotten Arm and songs from everyone’s favorite, Magnolia. The music was great, but actually seeing Aimee was a little disturbing. She’s really pretty… but WAY too skinny. Her arms were at that point where they’re just bone, so when she moved them it looked like a skeleton was playing the guitar. Girl needs to eat a couple of cheeseburgers.

Whenever I see people that skinny, it immediately inspires me to go eat a lot of food. It’s like I’m surrounded by starving people, so I had best eat as much as possible so that I don’t end up like them. I have a slight fear of running out of food, which manifests itself as an unwillingness to share and a lot of overeating (”Yes, I’m already full, but it’s so good!”). I think it’s a little weird because it’s not like I’ve ever actually gone without, but… whatever. I heart food.

Anyways, today’s another gorgeous day, so I’m going to try and skate out of work early and go enjoy it.

Have a fantabulous weekend, people!
