Boys to Mann
Sorry about not posting yesterday – Harry was taking up all of my time. He’s such an amazing boy, with the coolest friends and the most interesting adventures. I’m already dreading the long wait before #7 comes out.
In spite of this dread, though, I’m in an awfully good mood today. For once, it’s not sweltering, and tonight I’m going to a free concert in Copley Square. Tracy Bonham and Aimee Mann are playing, which should be really cool – check out the Boston MetroBlog for more details.
Anyways, I’m psyched because I’ve been completely obsessed with the Magnolia soundtrack for the past five years, on which Mann did 8 of the 13 tracks. PLUS she did a phenomenal duet with Michael Penn (her husband, and Sean’s brother) on the I am Sam soundtrack, covering the Beatle’s Two of Us. If you don’t own either of those CDs, you should – they’re amazing.
And that’s all I have to say about that.
