You can’t go anywhere without getting hit in the face with sex. Well, maybe not literally hit in the face, but it is all over the media. I know, I know, that’s not news. What is news, at least today, is that Colin Farrell has joined the oh-so-long list of celebs that made a sex tape, and is now going to court over its planned release.
Here’s my question - the lawsuit claims that the tape is going to “irreparably harm Farrell’s reputation and career.” How, exactly, will this happen? Colin is only famous because of his hot face and bad-boy reputation; it’s not like he’s known for the high-quality films he’s been in. So how will a tape that shows him doing what we all already know he does with everything in a skirt ruin his reputation? Does the tape show him being bad in bed?
In other sex news, the California Supreme Court ruled that if a company sends the message that the way to get ahead in the workplace is by being sexually involved with management, that can constitute sexual harassment. So, if your boss is having a consensual affair with one of your co-workers, and that co-worker gets promoted before you, you can claim that you were the victim of sexual harassment, because the company is rewarding sexual activity.
Any ideas on how this will affect the film or modeling industries?
